Mixed Classes

Asynchronous & Synchronous Program

Emphasizing Flexibility and Personalization With Mixed Classes

In response to the interest shown by our community, and recognizing that Ideal School has numerous sports students and parents with frequent travel commitments, we have decided to introduce a hybrid learning option. This flexible approach allows students to participate in some subjects asynchronously (not in real-time) and others synchronously (live). Even though not all classes will be conducted live, students will be supported by teachers throughout their learning journey.

Self-Paced Learning: Adapt your education to your personal schedule.

Weekly Study Guides: Customized learning plans to keep you on track.

24/7 Tutor Support: Email support with a promise of 24-hour response time.

Interactive Digital Platform: Access a wealth of resources anytime, anywhere.

Embrace the Future of Education with Ideal School

Weekly Study Guides and Activities

Every Monday, asynchronous students are provided with a comprehensive study guide and a set of activities by their dedicated tutor.

These guides are meticulously designed to align with the curriculum and help students stay on track with their learning objectives.

The activities included in the guide are engaging and thought-provoking, which encourages students to explore the subject matter deeply and independently.

Personalized Support and Interaction

Our students can quickly contact their tutors via email and expect a response within 24 hours. This prompt communication ensures that any questions or concerns students may have are addressed quickly and efficiently, which helps maintain the continuity of their learning journey.

We offer a one-hour Zoom session for each subject every week, where students can receive personalized academic support tailored to their individual needs.

Consistent Assessment Methods

Asynchronous students are not at a disadvantage when it comes to assessments.

They take their exams on the same digital platform as synchronous students.

This ensures that all students are evaluated impartially and regularly on their comprehension and proficiency in the subjects.

Additionally, this uniformity in assessment procedures helps asynchronous students feel like they are an integral part of the larger school community, as they have the same standards and expectations as their peers in the synchronous program.

Program Details

March 2024 – November 2024
September 2024 – August 2025

8 blocks of 5 weeks with one break week between blocks.

For the synchronous classes, the current model will be applied to the subjects that the student takes with the asynchronous modality. Material will be delivered by module and a weekly guide. The children will have weekly tasks delivered on Mondays and must be delivered on Fridays. The corrections will be sent on Friday. If the task is not delivered or is incorrect, it accumulates with the task of the week. Families will be sent a monthly map for follow-up.

  • "My Name is Francisco Velásquez and it is an honor for me to be part of Ideal School. I started learning English in school but my passion for it began when I travelled to USA for a study abroad program at Nacel International School in St. Paul, Minnesota. I continued in the same state my undergraduate studies at The University of St. Thomas. There I learned not only English but also French which also became my passion. Another important experience I had with languages is my Master degree in Translation and Interpreting which I did in Sydney, Australia at the University of New South Wales. There I learned not only about the language but also about the culture of the place. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I had. Sharing my knowledge with other people does bring satisfaction to me, I really enjoy teaching and I am glad to be part of The Ideal School team because it is a great opportunity to do what I love."

    Frequently Asked Questions

Hybrid learning at Ideal School is a flexible educational model designed to accommodate the needs of our sports students and their parents, who often travel.

This model allows students to engage in some subjects asynchronously, meaning they can complete work not in real time, and other subjects synchronously, or live, with real-time instruction.

This learning model is specifically designed for sports students and their parents at Ideal School who have frequent travel schedules, making traditional, in-person learning challenging.

Asynchronous learning allows students to access and complete their coursework at their own pace and on their schedule. This means that students can learn and submit assignments even if they cannot attend live classes due to travel or other commitments.

Synchronous learning involves live, real-time classes where students interact with their teachers and classmates. This format is designed to provide a more traditional classroom experience, facilitating direct communication and immediate feedback.

Yes, even though not all classes are conducted live, students will have full support from their teachers. Our faculty is committed to providing guidance and assistance to ensure every student succeeds, regardless of the learning format.

Students and parents are encouraged to contact our administration office for more information about hybrid learning at Ideal School. We are here to answer any questions and provide additional details about how our hybrid learning model can support your educational journey.
